Stephens College is seeking an Enrollment Counselor. The Enrollment Counselor's primary focus will be to recruit prospective students. In
addition provide excellent customer service while assisting prospective students through the inquiry, application and enrollment process.


Responsibilities:
1. Serve as primary point of contact and customer service representative to prospective students, providing
consistent, accurate and timely information
2. Meet inquiry- to- applicant, and applicant- to- admitted yield goals
3. Work in
conjunction with faculty to ensure prospective students enroll in the appropriate programs to meet their career objectives
4. Provide
basic financial aid information to prospective students
5. Represent and promote Stephens at various professional school fairs,
conferences, public relations events, and other external and internal promotional activities relevant to student recruitment
6. Develop
and maintain professional working relationships with support staff, faculty, professional peers and department representatives
7.
Provide quality customer service
8. Advance departmental enrollment goals
9. Utilize the Stephens student database to document daily
student connections
10. Prepare and maintain weekly inquiry, applicant and roster reports
11. Perform other related duties as
assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in higher education, management, business or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in admission and/or enrollment services and/or recruitment
- Five years of customer services
experience
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
- Candidates must also demonstrate a strong sense of
professionalism and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- All applicants must have a valid driver's license and
have the ability to be an approved driver for the college
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of current and innovative
technology used in application processing and prospect communications
- Demonstrated experience collaborating across disciplines with
internal stakeholders to build partnerships and meet program goals
- Experience with integrated student information systems and using
data as a rubric for analysis and assessment
- Demonstrated abilities in time management, selection, performance evaluation, conflict
resolution, problem solving, and team building in the context of an admissions office
- Experience with strategic planning and
program development
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to work with applicants, students, faculty, staff and
administrators in complex situations that require combining knowledge, diplomacy and analytical skills to find solutions within College
policy
- Proven success with recruitment of diverse, highly talented students
